Working for Yakama Power

For generations, the specialized and high-paying careers within our valley’s utility networks were out of reach for local tribal communities. Yakama Power was founded to change that.

When you work for Yakama Power, you aren’t just taking a job—you are joining a mission-driven enterprise dedicated to building true energy independence and economic sovereignty for the Yakama Reservation. We tie our physical growth directly to the qualification and development of our local workforce. If you want a career where your hard work directly powers your own community, you belong here.

Sovereignty Through Skill

We believe that community self-sufficiency is built from the ground up. We intentionally invest in intensive, technical training so our team members become industry leaders right here at home.

Uncompromising Safety:

Working with high-voltage electrical networks and massive water systems requires absolute precision. We maintain strict, predictable safety procedures, providing our crews with top-tier gear and recurring certifications to ensure everyone returns home safely at the end of every shift.

Generational Stewardship:

From upgrading the historic 146,000-acre Wapato Irrigation Project to developing clean, forward-thinking hydro, solar, and biomass generation, our work leaves a lasting, positive footprint on Yakama Nation lands.

Predictability and Reliability:

We value precision, structure, and respect for your time. Our operations are carefully scheduled to provide stable, reliable careers with excellent work-life balance and highly competitive tribal compensation packages.
